Dollar For is creating a Patient Voices Council made of people who have experienced unaffordable hospital bills. The Council will meet every two months on Zoom to provide input on program strategies. Council members are paid for their time.
The Dollar For team knows our staff does not fully represent all the types of patients who struggle with hospital bills. We think all of those voices have a role in helping us to vet ideas and design solutions that really work for patients. That’s why we are creating the Patient Voices Council.
The Council will meet virtually every two months on Tuesday nights at 5:30 pm PT / 8:30 pt ET. During these facilitated conversations, Council members will provide their opinions, reactions, and ideas to help Dollar For hone our strategies.
The ideas shared by the Patient Voices Council represent real perspectives, and the Dollar For team honors and values them. Our staff commits to incorporating feedback from the voices into our ongoing work.
